Natiscalzi Dance Theater is the organic resulting from the creative path shared between Tommaso Monza and Claudia Rossi Valli, a collaboration that began in 2012 and has been successfully carried out over the years. The company was born with the aim of seeking a path of experimentation and sharing of common languages and creative instances. initially developed as a rib of the Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni to then assert its independent identity in 2016, establishing itself as a cultural association after years of projects, productions, residences and tours.

The activities of Natiscalzi DT are supported through residences from: Lavanderia a Vapore, Scenario Pubblico/CZD, Scena Nuda, Anghiari Dance Hub, CID Cantieri, Teatri di Vita, Residenze IDRA, Stalker teatro.

 

 

Claudia Rossi Valli graduated as a dancer at the Paolo Grassi School in Milan and deepened her studies in Europe and the USA, studying among others with Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni (IT), the William Forsythe Company (D), Retina Dance Company (UK), Ampersandance Youth Company (UK), Tiziana Arnaboldi Company (CH).

 

She won a scholarship to the 2012 American Dance Festival where she was selected to dance with Shen Wei Dance Arts (NYC, USA).

 

She has been a dancer for Compagnia Zappalà Danza since 2015 and Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni company since 2016.

 

Claudia has been pursuing her interest in choreography since 2012, receiving several awards for her productions and in 2016, together with Tommaso Monza, she founded Compagnia Natiscalzi DT.

 

Tommaso Monza studied sculpture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and approached theatre and dance. As a dancer and artistic collaborator he has been working with Compagnia Ambra Senatore since 2010 and with Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni since 2005, becoming an associate artist.

 

In 2010 he started his own choreographic path and in 2012 he took part in Choreoroam Europe project.

 

His project “ROD- Three units in Kazakhstan”, was finalist at the 2014 Premio Equilibrio Roma 2014, and presented at Mirabilia Festival Europeo 2014 (IT), MittelFest 2014 (IT), Festival Exister 2014 (IT), Vetrina Anticorpi XL 2014 (IT), ArtBat Fest 2013 (KZ).

 

He is a choosen choreographer for Anghiari Dance Hub 2015 with the show Sketches of Freedom. In 2016 together with Claudia Rossi Valli founded company Natiscalzi DT.
